We, as a nation, want more people to have access to the middle class.

So we setup subsidies to something that is a gateway to the middle class.

Then, because of the subsidy and increased demand, that thing rises in price.

So went the mortgage crisis. So will go the Higher Education crisis. With outsized and prolonged damage to these institutions.

Well the ear-mark self proclaimed President messed up another part of the economy. I am shocked. When will people stop talking to him like he was a god, opps dog.

right on. Just like doctors, they charge whatever will make them a healthy profit and we run around in circles trying to pay it. Truth is, most of these professors make too much money and many of these schools are awash in $$$. I never see the left whining about colleges like they whine about corporations but the two are equivalent. Education is a business and if they had as much outrage for this as they do for Wall Street we might be in better shape.
