Verbatim: New Haven mom wins $1 million lottery prize

Statement issued Wednesday:

INDIANAPOLIS Stephanie Kline said her $1,000,000 prize in Hoosier Lottery s Golden Ticket scratch-off would change little in her life, besides the balance of her student debts.

Kline, who traveled to Hoosier Lottery headquarters in Indianapolis September 7 with her husband, Joe, kept her excitement on a low simmer.

It makes me feel great, of course, she said, but it doesn t change my everyday. It will be great to pay off all my bills though.

Kline said she also plans on establishing a college fund for her 16-month-old son.

Just dumb luck, added Joe.

The Hoosier Lottery reminds players to always play responsibly, and to always sign the back of their tickets.
